On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics at CTU (CIIRC CTU) welcomed two foreign delegations – one from the Human Resources Institute of the Republic of Korea and another from Taiwan, organized by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR). Both visits shared a common goal: to learn about CIIRC CTU’s research activities and explore opportunities for collaboration in advanced industry, artificial intelligence, and modern technologies.
The Korean delegation focused primarily on the role of artificial intelligence in society – in areas such as education, industry, security, and healthcare. The visit was hosted by Prof. Vladimír Mařík, Scientific Director of CIIRC CTU, along with Prof. Vladimír Hlaváč and Prof. Olga Štěpánková.
In the afternoon, CIIRC CTU welcomed the Taiwanese delegation, which included representatives from National Taiwan University, National Cheng Kung University, National Tsing Hua University, Academia Sinica, and tech companies such as ASUS and Techman Robot. Discussions centered around artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and the concept of smart cities. The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Mařík and Prof. Radoslav Sovják, head of the National Centre for Construction 4.0.
The program also included a hands-on demonstration: a tour of both floors of the RICAIP Testbed Prague research infrastructure, presented by Testbed Manager Pavel Burget and researchers from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Michal Rytíř and Adam Čermák.
Both visits confirmed the growing interest of international partners in CIIRC CTU’s research and innovation capabilities, as well as its openness to collaboration in both European and global contexts.
