The CTU Rector’s Sports Day, held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, brought not only a great atmosphere and nearly one thousand participants, but also a major success for the CIIRC CTU team. The crew, competing under the original name Mladý pušky a velký píva, won the popular dragon boat race and claimed a well-deserved victory.

The race was part of this year’s rich sports program, which featured a total of 23 disciplines. Dragon boat racing traditionally ranks among the most attractive events of the day, and this year was no exception. The award for our team was personally presented by the Rector of CTU, Michal Pěchouček.

The winning CIIRC CTU team consisted of: Jiří Štefan, Ondřej Švec, Filip Zítek, Klára Hlaváčková, Matěj Klouček, Jan Chleboun, Stanislav Khvedynich, Kateřina Šoltysová, Daniel Kubišta, Pavel Hradecký, Mark Horpynych, Robin Klubarski, Ivan Dostál, Filip Kessler, Martin Macaš, and Roman Páral.

The entire day was accompanied by pleasant weather, strong sporting spirit, and informal meetings between students and employees from across CTU faculties and institutes. The closing gathering at the CTU Boathouse in Malá Chuchle symbolically concluded another successful edition of this popular university event.
