The Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) at CTU achieved the highest possible grade A in the international evaluation of higher education institutions according to the VŠ 2025+ Methodology, along with an average score of 5 – Outstanding across all evaluated areas, including research, collaboration with industry, and public engagement.
The international evaluation panel described CIIRC as outstanding and a flagship unit of the Czech Technical University in Prague, praising its performance across all assessed criteria.

CIIRC as the only CTU unit received the top score of 5 – Outstanding in all indicators of Module M3, which covers the full chain from cutting-edge research through knowledge transfer to public engagement:
- International recognition of research

- Science popularization and communication with the public
- Implementation of recommendations from the previous evaluation
International Reputation and Strong Leadership
In the area of international recognition by the research community, the panel particularly highlighted the success of CIIRC’s leadership in building the institute into a respected international workplace. Evaluators praised the return of renowned Czech researchers from abroad, who brought not only their own scientific reputation but also strong connections to European and global research networks.
According to the panel, CIIRC also plays a key role in engaging younger CTU researchers in international structures and excellent projects, including European grant programs.

Despite its relatively short existence, CIIRC has achieved exceptional breadth and quality in its research projects. The panel noted that the institute’s activities are not only scientifically excellent but also highly relevant in terms of applications and future societal impact.

CIIRC was also recognized for its systematic and professional approach to popularizing research and innovation. The panel highlighted the institute’s well-structured public communication program and its ability to present complex topics clearly to a wide audience.

In its final summary, the panel stated that CIIRC is a flagship unit of CTU, recognized across all evaluated aspects. The results of the international evaluation confirm the institute’s well-aligned strategy and its key role in further developing CTU as an excellent technical university with growing European significance.

The evaluation assessed a total of 13 units of CTU:
- 7 units received grade A
- 4 units received grade B
- The overall university grade was A – Excellent
