CAK - Centre for applied cybernetics

CAK is a centre of competence supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TE01020197, 2012 – 2019). The competence centre program is focused on the development of long-term collaboration between the public and private sectors with a perspective for significant contributions to the growth of the competitiveness of the Czech Republic.

CAK has a nationwide operation, involving 17 partners, of which are 4 public universities, 2 large-size enterprises, 3 medium-size and 8 small-size companies. The research and development activities include:

  • Modeling and control of production, distribution and conversion of electric power
  • Intelligent man-machine interaction
  • Machine perception and image analysis
  • Optimization tools for industrial informatics.

Within CIIRC, CAK forms a large platform across the departments CYPHY, INTSYS, IIG, RMP, and IPA.
