Open Day for Companies – Interactive Format with Consultation Opportunities
From a Digital Challenge to a Functional Solution. From Idea to Implementation. There are many paths to innovation and AI, we will find the right one together.
When: Wednesday 3 June 2026
Where: CIIRC CTU, Jugoslávských partyzánů 1580/3, Prabue 6 – Dejvice
How can digital innovation and artificial intelligence be implemented without unnecessary risks? With this goal in mind, the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics, and Cybernetics at the Czech Technical University in Prague (CIIRC CTU) is opening the doors of its facilities to industrial and innovative companies. In collaboration with our rich ecosystem, we will help you navigate the possibilities of digital transformation—from initially identifying the problem, through designing and testing solutions, to implementing them in practice.
This year’s second edition of Tech Dating brings something new: For the first time, we are bringing together our research capabilities and departments across the institute in one place, alongside a wide range of innovation support programs—from those offered by EDIH CTU and AI-MATTERS/TEF to CzechInvest and programs from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MPO) and the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TAČR).
You’ll gain an overview of innovation opportunities, expert consultations, and practical technology demonstrations. All in a single day and in one place. From entities that aren’t meeting for the first time, but will be acting as a single point of contact for the first time.
The event is free for pre-registered participants. We invite industrial companies and their representatives—from management to technical experts—to this unique technology showcase.
What can you expect? And what shouldn’t you expect?
We don’t expect companies to be familiar with every technology, every program, or every “box” they need to fit into. Our goal is to help you find the right path—whether that leads to rapid implementation, a pilot test, or more in-depth research and development.
Companies often don’t know exactly what they need — but they know that something isn’t working. . And even more often, they don’t know who to turn to.
The goal of this event is not to showcase individual organizations or programs, nor to overwhelm you with examples of projects implemented by other companies that you feel pressured to emulate. We want to help you — companies and innovators — navigate the available options and choose the right path for your specific situation. It doesn’t matter how big your company is, or whether you’re just starting out or already have experience with digitalization. It doesn’t matter if you have a clear mandate or just a feeling that “something needs to change.”.
This event isn’t just about “what we can do,” but mainly about “what you (companies, manufacturers, developers, etc.) actually need to address—and how we can help with that”.
- The event consists of two interconnected parts: consultation session and a hands-on demonstration.
-
Practical demonstrations are not an end in themselves, but rather a confirmation that a solution already exists, or inspiration for what it might look like.
- First, we’ll work together to identify the challenges your company faces, and then you’ll see the technologies, tools, and solutions that can help you address them.
-
A key highlight of the program is the opportunity to consult with our experts and see live technology demonstrations—right next to the machines and robots. You’ll discover how you can work with us to develop innovations tailored specifically to your business.
The event is organized by CIIRC CTU, RICAIP, AI-MATTERS/TEF and EDIH CTU, in collaboration with NCP4.0, CzechInvest agency, AMSP, and other organizations. The event is part of RICAIP Days 2026.

Joint Introduction – Navigating the Innovation Ecosystem |
| 10:15–12:15 | Consultation Session: Tech Dating Lab An interactive part of the program in the form of short, structured consultations. Companies can choose a thematic zone based on the stage of innovation they are in: Zone 1 – We’re just getting started “We don’t know exactly what our problem is.” Consultations take the form of short 15–20-minute discussions in small groups, with the option to rotate between zones. |
| 12:15–13:00 | Light lunch and networking An informal setting for continuing discussions, networking, and scheduling one-on-one meetings |
| 13:00–14:45 |
Hands-On Session: Innovation Walks You can visit the stations based on your preferences or thematic tracks; for example, you will see solutions in the following areas:
Each station will present a real-world industrial context, technology in practice, and opportunities for further testing or pilot projects. |
| 14:45–15:30 | Summary & Next Steps A joint final summary of the day’s main topics and opportunities for further collaboration. We will present specific next steps leading to the use of available services and support programs. |

Why attend?
- You’ll gain an overview of the latest developments and opportunities for applying innovations in your company. You’ll discover that CIIRC CTU isn’t just home to academic theorists (though they’re certainly needed), but to passionate teams with expertise and real-world experience in industrial practice. They seek solutions and ways to overcome obstacles. They’re creative and flexible. See for yourself at this event.
- We’ll get in touch and arrange individual consultations and a next steps plan tailored to your specific situation.
How will it work?
Tech Dating is designed to help companies quickly navigate the possibilities of digital innovation and identify a concrete next step—whether it’s a technological solution, testing in a testbed, or a suitable support program.
The entire day is therefore structured as a practical journey for companies, from problem identification all the way to a potential pilot project or implementation.
Before the Event: A Short Innovation Check-in
To make the consultations as beneficial as possible, we’ll ask registered participants to fill out a short online innovation check-in (approx. 5–7 minutes) before the event. You’ll help us better understand what you’re currently working on, what stage you’re at, and what you’d like to take away from the event. This will help us better prepare the consultation zones, recommend technology stations, and connect you with relevant experts.
Who is this event for?
Tech Dating connects researchers, technology experts, and organizations that support innovation. The goal is to create an environment where companies with specific needs can quickly connect with people who can help them address those needs.. We especially welcome the following participants:
-
representatives of manufacturing and technology companies,,
-
technology integrators and solution developers,,
-
experts from other research teams,
-
representatives of organizations supporting innovation and industrial digitalization.
