LIMINAL center

LIMINAL is an interdisciplinary research centre at CIIRC CTU. It studies how people, institutions and societies adapt to technological and social change. Archaeology and history allow change to be compared over long periods; anthropology and psychology help explain institutions, relationships and decision-making today. The centre applies its research in projects with museums, companies and communities. Current and planned work includes AI Diplomat, Past Forward, the Heritage Audit, Playable Archaeology, the Resilience Academy and a product being developed with DaVinci Space for community governance and decision-making in hybrid settings. LIMINAL also plans to develop citizen-science methods. Two rounds of its exchange programme with the University of Oxford have already taken place.
