Abstract:

The goal of the project is development of device enabling automatic assembly of thread joints using robot. In-process analysis of the joining process shall be a part of the automated solution. Increasing of productivity and reliability of the thread joint assembly is the main motivation of the project. Mounting of screws as well as nuts with various sizes is within the project scope. Automated mounting of screws and nuts is a challenge that includes solution for part transport from supply bin to the assembly place, precious component placement including right connection of the thread and fastening control.
