Computer scientists from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University (FEL ČVUT) and the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC ČVUT) have ranked among the top European institutions in the fields of computer science and robotics in the international CSRankings listing.
The greatest success was achieved in the field of Computer Vision, where they placed 6th in Europe for the period 2020–2025, and in Robotics, where they ranked 8th. They also achieved notable placements in other areas:

A total of 227 European universities made it into the rankings. In the overall evaluation across all areas, ČVUT placed between 59th and 74th, making it the highest-ranked Czech university.

The highest-ranked Czech computer scientist is Prof. Jiří Matas from the Department of Cybernetics at FEL ČVUT. CTU also dominates the top positions in the national ranking:
