Abstract:
The goal of the sub-project is to develop SW modules that can gather data from the camera systems about mobile and stationary activities in public space. It will provide quicker and more accurate data to assess the quality of the analysed area, such as how the public uses space or if the designed intention of use has been reached.
The analysis of camera data will focus on the following main areas:
- presence of different type of objects (pedestrians, cyclists, large/small cars, etc.) and their movement in the city, which allows to generate a map of movement of people within a specific period of time, or to monitor a traffic.
- unwanted changes in the public spaces and deterioration of city’s infrastructure.
This project is supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the programme National Centres of Competence 1: Support programme for applied research, experimental development and innovation.
