Prof. Ing. Vladimír Mařík, Scientific Director of CIIRC CTU, and Director of CIIRC Ph.D. Ondřej Velek, together with Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, participated in the government visit to India. The visit follows last year’s laying of the foundation stone of the Mařík Centre for Artificial Intelligence at NIMS in Jaipur.
During the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Czech Technical University and NIMS University was also signed to create a hub for digital partnership in the Indo-Pacific.
„We see this as opening the way for the Czech engineering community to enter India as a promising superpower that is making tremendous strides technologically and economically. In fields such as software engineering and artificial intelligence, Indians have a very good sound,“ Vladimír Mařík told ČTK. „We see this as a long-term investment. And it is in line with the plans of the European Union, which is also starting to look at the region,“ he added.
The CIIRC sees academic-industrial cooperation with India in the field of technology and artificial intelligence as strategic and important for the Czech Republic.
