CIIRC CTU Anti COVID-19

CIIRC CTU Develops Own Prototype of CIIRC RP95 Respirator / Half Mask

Lets Beat the COVID-19 via Distributed Production

CIIRC CTU is entering the fight against COVID-19. At the RICAIP Centre of Excellence supported by EU resources, CIIRC CTU is developing a brand new prototype of safety half-mask under the name “CIIRC RP95”.

Our goal is to make a prototype that can be produced anywhere in the world on the principles of distributed production. Distributed production allows to compensate the local lack of production capacities or resources.

CIIRC CTU researchers developed and certified the prototype of the advanced respirator “CIIRC RP95-3D” in just one week.

The CIIRC RP95-3D is a personal protective equipment – half-mask – with a P3 replacegeable external filter which has been certified as a kit according to EN 140:1999 norm. It meets the same or higher degree of protection as a FFP3 class respirator.
The mask can be reused thanks to proven sterilization and disinfection procedures. Sterilization of the half-mask is possible in a steam sterilizer (autoclave). The integrity of the mask after sterilization (in the National Reference Laboratory of the EAA) was successfully confirmed by subsequent testing at the Occupational Safety Research Institute.
Disinfection of the mask is possible by spraying with an alcohol-based disinfectant solution (85% ethanol). This procedure was verified in cooperation with the team of the Czech Society of Cardiology and their colleagues virologists.

We have launched the web portal for holders of MultiJet Fusion technology:

Please visit www.RP95.cz to download the data for 3D printing.

If you do not possess HP MJF 3D printer, please pay attention to the FAQs bellow. Thank you for your understanding.

For more information please read following FAQs:

FAQs for general public and medical staff FAQs for 3D print holders (non-MJF) FAQs for industrial companies (injection molding)

The aim is to have the safety device not only be printed on 3D printers (type „CIIRC RP95-3D“), but also be manufactured by injecting plastic into ready-made molds (type „CIIRC RP95-M“). Whether printed on a 3D printer or produced by injection molded, the CIIRC RP95 can be reused, after disinfection and filter material replacement – unlimited.

CTU’s start-up company Trix Connections, s.r.o. as the exclusive CTU license holder undertakes to provide cooperation with production companies and participate in further research and development of this protective device as part of the fight against the COVID-19 illness.

Disclaimer: CIIRC CTU assumes no responsibility for improper use the data, manufacturing process, personal injury, equipment or other damage resulting from the manufacturing of the of CIIRC RP95-3D safety half mask as well as its performance and safety.
