Doc. RNDr. Vojtěch Petráček, CSc. graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University. He joined CTU in 2004 as an assistant professor in the field of experimental nuclear physics at the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering. In 2007, he became an Associate Professor and also a Scientific Director of the Centre for research of ultra-relativistic nuclear collisions. The Academic Senate of CTU elected him as CTU Rector on 25 October 2017, with effect from February 2018.
Alongside the new Rector, new deans that will be inaugurated are the Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering Ing. Jiří Máca, CSc., the Dean of the Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering prof. Ing. Igor Jex, DrSc., the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture prof. Ing. Ladislav Lábus, Hon. FAIA, and the Dean of the Faculty of Transport doc. Ing. Pavel Hrubeš, Ph.D.
