Research and Innovation Centre for Advanced Industrial Production (RICAIP) Project aims to develop a strong cooperation at international level evolving the concept of Industry 4.0. RICAIP will virtually connect the testbed facilities in the Czech Republic (Prague, Brno) and Germany (Saarbrücken) and integrate them into a new Czech-German research infrastructure in advanced distributed industrial production. Flexible and distributed industrial production will change the face of industry as we know it know.

Leading representatives of participating institutions, ie CIIRC CTU, CEITEC BUT, DFKI and ZEMA met at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics, which coordinates the whole project to discuss the strategic overview and allocate competencies to the defined tasks in the project.

The meeting was opened by Vít Dočkal and and professor Vladimir Marik, principal investigator of the project, and both of them emphasised the enormous opportunity of this project for the Czech science and industry.
